I provide three kinds of services: divination (mainly using tarot, but I also use astrology, runes and intuitive mediumship depending on what kind of session you get), healing (using trancework, breathwork, energy work, and northern European shamanic healing techniques), and spells and rituals to help you focus and create the life you want for yourself. Further descriptions of the work I do are available on the Work With Me Page. If you aren’t sure about what session type would be best for you, just use your intuition to select your appointment type. Then, on the intake form let me know what’s going on for you and I will see if I need to modify your session to meet your needs.

The preparation you need to do depends on the kind of work we’re doing. Usually, when you book your appointment my assistant will send you an email describing what you need to do to prepare. If we’re doing healing work, you should refrain from eating two hours before our work together, and avoid heavy foods for a full 24 hours before we begin our session. If we’re doing ceremonial or spell work, I will usually tell you what you need to bring for the ceremony. Some spells require that you do some prep work or gather some ingredients before you arrive. I will let you know what those things are, so don’t worry. Generally, it’s good to bring things for the altar to our session. Flowers, crystals you want charged, incense, offerings for the spirits… This work is sacred work and it’s important to approach it with reverence. Please note that it’s important to pay attention to the insights you get about the subject of your reading in the time leading up to our session together. Often from the first moment you plan on practicing any sort of magical act (such as a reading or healing ceremony) things begin to shift. Finally, before you do any kind of spiritual work, it’s always helpful to try and get in the habit of meditating for at the very least 5 minutes per day for at least a week. 5 minutes is not a lot, but it’s a start, certainly try to do this before we begin our session. The point of our work together is that you start to connect to spirit deeply on your own. Basically, you have to meditate at least a little if you’re serious about this work.

It isn’t essential to have a clear question to focus your reading, but it certainly helps. As a general rule, the clearer your question, the clearer your answer will be. Questions can be about anything, but should be focused on you, rather than on somebody else. For example, “how can I attract love into my life,” works better than a question like “does ‘x’ love me,” which would not be favored by the tarot. The purpose of the tarot is to help you increase your autonomy and inner strength; it wants action from you, not waiting around by the phone for someone else to call (be that an agent, lover, doctor, or whoever). Also, it is better to ask questions about the present, divination about the future is problematic since we have freewill and can always change course. Think in terms of finding the right path, rather than knowing the outcome. Try questions like:

• Who should I see to…?

• Where should I go to…?

• Why is “x” …?

• How should I deal with…?

• What should I do to…?

You can ask about anything as long as it matters to you. In any case, the practice of considering what is most important to you right now is already going to be of benefit. Once we connect, I can help you further refine your question so that you get maximum results.

The work we do together is for your pleasure and enjoyment. I do not guarantee results. I do not guarantee accuracy. I do not guarantee that I will solve your problems or even give you answers to your problems. How you use what comes up in our session together is up to you. Spiritual work of this nature is complex, layered, and fascinating. I have achieved the success I enjoy because my clients benefit from the work that I do, and I have multitudes of clients who’ve manifested their intentions swiftly after working with me: falling in love, publishing their work, relieving their anxiety, getting into the college of their dreams. But I cannot guarantee that this will happen for you. Your life and success is up to you. If you find someone doing spiritual work who says they can solve all your problems or answer all your questions with 100% accuracy, it’s probably a scam. Proceed at your own risk. In general, magic usually moves you further down the path of your true will. When I do my work, I always do it for the greatest good of all concerned, so it’s not going to hurt you. But before you achieve your heart’s desire, there might be obstacles you have to work through first. Sometimes those obstacles take a long time to remove, c’est la vie. Secondly, sometimes there are obstacles our entire culture has to work through before we can achieve our heart’s desire. Working with me cannot change the entire system of structural inequality in which we live. Sometimes our spell work requires collective action such as letter writing, phone calling, and other activist forms of magic. What my work can and does do is help you feel empowered to take whatever action is required of you and to feel more clear and joyful as you go about doing it.

Please do not come to me seeking urgent answers to questions about legal issues, health problems, life or death problems that require immediate solution, or anything dire that requires knowing exactly when something will happen. I don’t work like that. My work is to help you empower yourself to work through your own problems, and offer you support as you do so. My work is for your entertainment and enjoyment. You can certainly bring life or death questions into our sessions together, but please don’t expect me to cure your cancer or solve your legal battles. Difficult things happen in life, and part of my work is to help you navigate those difficulties, but I cannot solve your problems. I do not EVER tell my clients that some horrible thing is going to befall them if they don’t do this or that. My work is to help you fall in love with your life, and I do not do that by predicting your downfall. Our work together is a brave space for you to work through your knots and connect to your spiritual purpose, but my work cannot take the place of licensed medical, legal, or psychological consultation.

If you ask me for such a thing, you are probably not even the first person THAT DAY who has made such a request – you might even be the third or fourth person. If you truly honor me and my work, I humbly request that you follow the same format as everyone else and book a session with me. My training and practice requires that I spend at least an hour with someone in order to answer their questions. If you truly have a quick question, please try Googling before you request that I take time out of my work day to answer your question for you. Please note also that if I DO make a special appointment for you, I am probably doing it on my time off, which has become increasingly rare, so I really do appreciate it when people respect that and encourage me to rest rather than requesting that I sacrifice my time off in order to squeeze them in for an appointment.

Thank you for thinking so highly of me, but I do not wish to date my clients or become their friends. The work we do together is sacred, and requires that I hold space for you 100%. As friendly as it might seem, it is not an ordinary relationship, it is a professional one. It is important that we both honor one another’s boundaries. For your safety and my sanity, I will decline offers of further intimacy from my clients. Please do not ask me for further connection beyond what I have available on my website.

In an ideal world, I’d do my work on the basis of a gift economy. I’d know that if I needed something that required some skill or talent you have, you’d have my back. We’d work together in collaboration. There’d be no land ownership. Grand social projects would get done through big fiesta-style work parties. I’m an idealist like that. I’m a peace loving anarchist like that. But, alas, that is not the world we live in. The work I do takes time and skill. I perform A LOT of emotional and spiritual labor. That work deserves to be paid. In addition to the time I spend with you, which is my most valuable possession, I also do a lot of prep work for my sessions. I buy supplies, I take classes on an ongoing basis, I study constantly. While anyone can be a witch, there are degrees of expertise. I have spent years thinking about, researching and developing about the processes we will use in our work together, and I have overheads just like anyone else. I have to maintain the space that I work in. I have to pay rent, answer client emails, host my website, etc., just like anyone else. You wouldn’t expect a masseuse or a therapist or a hair dresser to work for free (let alone an investment banker or a lawyer, etc.), so why should fair exchange be different for a witch? As I see it, we are exchanging various forms of energy, and I think that’s fair. However, I know that many people can’t afford my services. If you would like to work with me but can’t afford it, please listen to my podcast, subscribe to my newsletter, buy my book, or follow me on social media – I give low cost or free advice on all of these platforms. I am currently developing ways to offer certain services as online workshops, etc., which might be more affordable for some. But yes, this work is expensive because it’s valuable, it takes time, thought, imagination, preparation and skill. Artists and witches should be paid for their work. Until capitalism collapses, CEOs, politicians and engineers are not the only people who should be able to make a living.
